[+ rep] If you're on an account nobody knows...

You've kept it out of the public eye, have no NFs, never chatted on the boards...but you might put a bunch of unknown UCs on it and call it your main, does it matter whether your account looks legit or not? If you don't really plan on ever going into the public?

Reminds of that "if a tree falls and nobody hears, does it make a sound?" question. XD Anyway, I'll +rep the first two or three who can give some sound advice (can't do more than that because likely I'll have used my giving-rep allowance.)

    1. Only if you plan to have zero interaction with others at all. That includes buying/selling in shops, trading post, auctions, etc. People are nosy, all it takes is your name to show up somewhere at present for snoops to sniff your butt. Essentially RSing and flash games by yourself.

    2. Still good to have your pets cached as a precaution. UCs are still money, wouldn't it suck to not take all steps possible?

    3. While your account is a ghost account, you ought to also make sure the accounts you move the UCs from are as well. That includes if they're active or not, if they have active NFs, etc.

@(you need an account to see links), repped. That makes sense! If you are transferring from an inactive account with active NFs, is it a good idea to just remove them from your Neofriends? What else can one do?

Thanks for the help by the way!

It should be fine to have no stats, but it could be hard to keep your username off of everything. Even sending a score in a flash game that makes the HS table is risky (even way out of trophy range). You shouldn't bid on auctions, buy from user shops, sell anything, etc. I would build it up at least a bit anyways and you should be fine. The worst users for calling people out on it tend to stick to the boards I think.

Or just buy the account building service from @(you need an account to see links) if you're lazy!

For thing like this, I have to revert back to my tried and true method.
If nobody's going to miss it, you will be fine. Only in your cases (so long as the UC's are safe), if nobody knows, you will be fine.

In your normal interactions, people will just think you have nice pets. Stay out of te pound chat and you will be good to go!
    What's my definition of success?
Creating something no one else can
Being brave enough to dream big
Grindin' when you're told to just quit
Giving more when you got nothin' left

Thanks for the advice, I repped you! I hadn't even realized that selling from one's shop would be such a risk. Luckily for me this is a theoretical question, popped into my head because I've spent the last month thinking about making an account look super-legit and I guess, imagining a universe where it wasn't neccessary.

    1. If you are able to, see if there has been any recent interaction between your inactive & their neofriends (even though it's inactive, ), see if any of their active NFs are particularly close. If they are, I wouldn't remove them, or else they may take notice of the sudden removal and be suspicious anyways.

    2. Try moving the pets at a time when you're confident none of the active NFs are on. That way, they won't see you and say "what's up?", possibly catching you in the process of pet transfers. If you are busted, you're pretty fucked and that'll depend on how big of a bitch they are, you can still try to BS a story out for a trade though.

    3. There is always a risk as long as any of the inactive's NFs are active, but #2 is possibly the best way of doing things. You may remove NFs if you feel ballsy, and hope they don't catch you.

    4. I also just realized you may play flash games/scoresend, but be careful not to be put onto the high scores table (let alone trophy spots), there's another risk of getting your main seen by the public.

    5. You're welcome.

That's good! And makes me feel a lot better. I've been really paranoid about making my account look good, so it's nice for some reassurances. ^__^ Repped! That's the last one for today, thank you all so much! You don't know how happy this makes me, it's nice to be helped (and nice to know I'm doing ok!)
