Im assuming since you clarified you never worked for JS means that you worked for TNT and after the buyout.
Youve ignored the question flat out too.
Just say if you have or not like it matters at this point makes it look a little more credible.

Its life, people get fired, companies lose money. There are just too many variables to conclude what success is to a company, but losing millions a year is certainly not one of them. Whether the works simply refused to think of the company as their own and given their best, or simply bad luck is irrelevant at the moment.

It makes sense, for the layoffs and all.
This actually makes perfect sense, wow.

It was EXACTLY a year ago. The contracts would have expired and I bet JS was sitting on the trigger button waiting to fire them because they judged them incompetent wastes of money or something. True or not. Whether TNT knew ahead of time or not is irrelevent. People higher up who actually have POWER, almost certainly knew months ahead of time. You don't just fire your entire staff because you woke up that morning and decided "fuck it".

Since I have seen marked improvment in the lag in the last week and we have gotten some form of news, I am going to hope for the best and that JS has given the code to cheap pro people in India to fix up now that they don't have to spend their limited cash on TNT. Ill be optimistic. I don't give a fuck about the jobs being outsourced or not as long as WHOEVER IS IN CONTROL, FIXES THE LAG AND DOESNT KILL THE SITE. They can sell the entire thing to North Korea and run it from enslaved orphans for all I care, as long as it doesn't shut down and the lag disappears.

I do wish at least SOME of the old team could have stayed on to help keep the "spirit" in tact, but alas, I am not the CEO ): It sucks they were laid off because these people have worked there for 10+ years and will suddenly have to job hunt in today's shitty economy with the credentials "I rode an outdated sinking turd ship". TNT has never been transparent with us though, so I struggle to feel much personal connection with any of them. Maybe users would be more supportive if they had updated us even ONCE through the last several years on things behind the scenes.

If any staff happen to be reading this (lol), im not trying to be a dick. You did great work. Sucks you lost your job. But my loyalty is to the site and to my beloved uni, not you.
