Im most excited for the avatars. Finally new avatars! I really really hope they eventually add more.

My dream list of avatars to add to the site would go something like so:

"Well Read" - Read 1000 books to your pets
"Well Fed" - Feed 2000 unique foods to your pets
"Well Groomed" - Use ### different grooming products on your pets
"Well Entertained" - Play with 1000 different toys
etc

These are all very similar to the trash and packrat avatars but IMO are so necessary for the economy. There has literally never been a reason for anyone to feed their pets anything other than omelette and pack them off to the neolodge. No point in using grooming products. No point in playing with your pet. While they are at it, make toys and grooming products disappear like books... there is NO reason toys should be persistent.

Obviously I DONT have access to statistics on how many useless food items or unprofitable books are in neopia. I don't care if its 1k of books or if they decide that is too many and lower it to 500 or idk. The point would be to suck up alot of the books that have dipped below profitable and provide some more avatars in between "completely impossible stamp avatars" and "daily clickables". TNT needs to figure it out and implement the changes because it would also solve their other problem... the shops being full of useless junk. If there is more incentive to actually USE these items, the shops might finally clear out, and the economy revitalize.

This is a REALLY good idea. Have you considered sending it to them? It appears that Jumpstart is listening more to their users, so it's possible if you submit something like this, the right person may see it and pass it on. It would be cool to see some items before more valuable ^^

How would I submit something like this though? Just pop it into the editorial? Submit a ticket? Spam the neoboards every day? Facebook?

I think I mentioned this once before and someone pointed out that it would require TNT to track data for every user on what items they have used... which potentially sucks up server space. The trash avatar doesn't really 'store' any info about what items you discard as far as anyone can tell. Idk though. There HAS to be a way for them to do it. Im not a good programmer but id think they could do something that would be space efficient. They could have it point to a directory and just store the info as 1s and 0s right? If anyone here thinks there is a problem with storing that much data, or thinks there would be an easy solution, feel free to chime in.

Actually I just had a thought anyway. For every item someone feeds their pet and TNT has to "store" in your userdata, there is technically one less item in neopia they have to track. It would balance out, yes? This would primarily help the economy rather than TNT's servers.

I am beyond happy that they are trying to fix the restock system. Ive gotten a few UBs today and it isn't PAINFULLY boring waiting for stocks.
