    Downloads File Extensions

What I'll be suggesting here is for a little extra feature to be added to the downloads section of clraik.

Right now, this is what is shown for every download.

    Author Author Infamous Joe
File Size File Size 210.7 KB
    Downloads Downloads 145

The problem faced here is basically inconvenience for users. Right now, it is not possible to tell if a file is compatible to be used on operating systems (Mac's OS, Linux, etc). The only way to find out is to download it.

    Author Author Infamous Joe
File Size File Size 210.7 KB
    Downloads Downloads 145
    File Extension .jar

Implementing the showing of file extension would bring convenience to users. This may be a small addition which might pose some coding problems/tasks, but it will give the users of clraik a better browsing experience.

The problem with this is that most programmers .zip their stuff up anyway. A majority of programs would be shown as .zip even if they contained a .jar/.exe.

You could make a custom input field when programmers submit programs, just to say what the extension of the program is.

I don't since I don't know how to. Note I said relative and not just "easy"
