(So this may be a moot point, I still haven't wrapped my head around how people get into accounts) -- but paranoid me always tries to use a so-called "strong pw," which includes some of the special characters Neo claims are usable:However, every time I try to use the dollar sign, I end up getting locked out of the account and having to reset it via email. I know the site is half-functional and this is a minor detail, but it's irksome.!@#%^&*$+._()
Does anyone else have this problem? You're probably thinking, "Gee Ariella, the obvious answer is to stop using the dollar sign maybe?" But I barely remember what I had for breakfast, much less which characters are still usable on Neo... so every couple of months, I subject myself to this same brief panic attack when I can't get into an account right after updating the pw. Yep.

@(you need an account to see links) LMAO... I don't even wanna know what you were googling, I googled "tech illiterate" and that's one of the first ones. I heard LastPass got hacked themselves, though? See this is why I'm too paranoid for that shiz, I have my trusty excel spreadsheet and that's about as fancy as it gets, bwahahaha.

I might be having the same kind of problem.
I recently used a "&" in my password, and now it keeps telling me the password is wrong (although I know it's right) >.> but I can't reset it via e-mail, since I don't have access to the e-mail. Sigh.
But I don't know if that's actually the reason, or if it might be completely unrelated.
I've used a $ sign in my password for years without problems. Is this a recent problem/glitch?
Edit: In fact, I'm pretty sure I've used all these special characters at some point without ever encountering this glitch.

I changed a password on one of my sides today to test the dollar sign theory, and I haven't had any issues yet... the password containing the dollar sign has been working.
Did you use a $ followed by numbers?
One thing I noticed on the boards is that when you type in the dollar sign followed by numbers like... say $30 or something similar, it disappears. The sign and the numbers.
It could be related.
