Scrappy has left neopets

Maybe this is old news but I haven't seen a thread about it here.
From what I've read, Gutterfoot have confirmed that scrappy no longer works for neopets. She also lost her role in neopets discord a few days ago.

This is something that made me a bit worried, since she visibly made an effort for changes in the game.
What are your thoughts?

My guess is maybe she just moved onto a different job/career? I didn't particularly care one way or the other about her.

I did think this happened a while ago but I could be wrong. Without them fixing up games there is really no way to earn any neopoints. They really should get their act together. If they cannot provide games for us they should at least add more plots

Without word from her, I'm with Cinna. Sounds like a career or job change to me? I hope she's able to move on to a better position. I feel like across the board there have been so many retirements and career/job switches recently that seeing this on Neo isn't super shocking. She will be missed!

That's sad to hear. But ah well.. honestly I was a lil when I learned when David Lord was her dad lol. A bit of nepotism...?


I also did notice a new face around in the writing boards.... tnt_mx_macabre (first time seeing a tnt member with a font and a userlookup, lol) They seem to be on the east coast and work remotely.

She was one of the staffers that was David Lord's kids, I think Country Queen was, also. Honestly it sounds like it was always the type of job you take if your parent can provide it to help get your foot in the door. I say that with absolutely zero judgement of either. I know a lot of people who have done that, and certainly would have done that if I had the opportunity. Scrappy in particular seemed to care about things and was sort of the face of the site for a bit, to some extent literally as the person hosting a lot of the YT videos, though it seems that torch might be passed on to Gutterfoot?

As much as I love Neopets, it's not really a company where you can climb the ladder in, at least not anymore (but even without all the layoffs back in 2014, I'm sure a lot of staffers would have eventually had new and interesting opportunities)

This does worry me a bit as I'm pretty sure Scrappy was one of the biggest voices for changing things for the better, I want to believe in the site so badly but they need to show us so much more than they have...

I hope that it was due to good reasons (like her getting a better job/career opportunity). I rarely follow the actual people under TNT and I still heard her name many times, so she clearly contributed a lot.

Sounds like she's got a good hold of experience working for neo and most likely moved on to something that pays better and (probably) is less stress/BS. Good for her, I'm happy for her if this is the case. Lots of people, including me, have done so since the pandemic. Neopets will be fine lol and by fine I mean same shit different day? Idk that's how I see it
