It's an anime convention. I'm a volunteer so I get in for free. My friends and I rent a hotel room for the weekend and basically spend it like we're on vacation.

Any time that you can get away from work and have fun with friends is good enough to be a vacation to me.
I'm disappointed that my class is going to run over into the week I planned to go to the beach this year. I'll manage somehow though!
