    Bought UC troubles

This is probably going to be really hard for anybody to work out without me posting the names, but... obviously I can't do that I'll try my best to explain and we'll go from there.

I bought a UC a while back and the pet is all cached now, etc. However, when I google the pet's name and 'neopets', or the pet's lookup link, the original account that the seller sent the pet from shows up in the google search - along with the petpage, my UL, etc. There's nothing at all linking the pet to that account anymore either on their current UL or the cached version; I've tried manually updating the cache, and no joy.

Could anybody suggest what the problem might be? Do I need to get in touch with the seller? I just can't see what the connection is.

Thanks in advance for any help I will of course rep and thank anybody who's able to end my woes!

Well from what I'm interpreting from your post is that not every part of your pet is cached.

Are both these parts cached: (you need an account to see links)

    and

(you need an account to see links)

If they are both cached, then there should be no link left

I've seen a similar problem recently with an UC I sold to somebody. I'm not really sure what the solution was as it's never really been an exact science. But what I suggested was to run the original lookup through the webmaster tools again and maybe it will delete that part.

Maybe you've cached /~petname and not /~Petname (applies to petlookups, userlookups, etc)? That's happened to me before and I didn't notice before I had to cache like 4 pages LOL

    It's really frustrating :\

I'll try running it through again, but it didn't seem to work last time. Cheers for the suggestion!

Whoops - didn't see Mint's post, sorry! And I hadn't thought of that. Thank you; I'll try it!

    happened with me too.
    1. I tried manually caching the original user's lookup (refreshed it a lot),
    2. asked google to remove the original user's cache on this link: ((you need an account to see links)) - didn't work. request was rejected.
    3. submitted original user's lookup to get it cached again: ((you need an account to see links)) one day - didn't get cached, submitted again the next day and when I looked again, the cache had been updated.

It looks like you've already tried doing these things, but this is what worked for me.
