    Thoughts on stomach issues?

So last night around 11:00pm, my sugar levels just crashed, or least that's what I think it is. I was shakey to the point that when I was eating a bowl of rice chex my spoon was shaking and milk was coming off the spoon. After about a half hour of eating, I felt immensely better but was still very nauseous. Had to go with something light because I already know I don't digest food properly or in the normal amount of time as most people and I was supposed to start fasting at 12:00am for my ultra sound on my gall bladder as well as some blood work. I went to bed around 12:30am or so and woke up at 3:00am. When I woke up, it was basically in just enough time to grab a towel, cover my mouth and start vomitting. Get to the toilet and puke out my guts. There was nothing really there, seemed to be just stomach bile/acid. Needless to say I was up until about 4:00am and missed the ultrasound this morning from sleep. One of those sleeps that I must have woken up and turned the alarm off without being conscious because I woke up at 9:30am without any alarm, and headed to work.

All I can say is what the fuck? This is a new thing for me. I don't generally throw up. Rice-based foods were supposed to be good in the diet plan my gastrologist gave me. x_x

Now I gotta reschedule the ultrasound and blood work and they're gonna be pissed I didn't make that appointment.

Anyone got any idears? Been checked for diabeetus in the last month, so not that. Confirmed.

I'd go see a doctor that'll take you. Considering you have existing issues, you don't want to push it. Throwing up is your body's way of saying "no, man."
I do know that a sudden rise or fall in blood sugar will make you pretty damn sick.

Just went to the doctor last week. They basically said change your diet, but let's check your gall bladder and do your blood work as well. So I have changed my diet. I realize it's going to take time for my body to adjust.

    What I've done so far:
    Removed red meat (Done)
Remove wheat based foods (Need lower fiber content as I'm getting that through a supplement now I guess.)
Increase the amount of fruit eaten (Canteloupe and grapes so far, bought some apples, haven't tried them yet.)
Protein through chicken, fish and yogurt (Yoplait lights aren't so bad I guess. =/ And the chicken breast tender things I grill are yummy.)
Vegetables must be boiled, steamed, or liquified (Peas for now, will expand upon it once I have enough money to do fruit/veggie smoothies homemade.)

So I am actually trying to do what they told me. I've taken some of the suggestions from CK as well about parking further away from the office (My car looks weird out there by itself, but w/e). Haven't gone for any lengthy walks yet, but I'm so ridiculously tired after work lately that I feel like I could pass out. I think the calorie difference or just the difference in what I'm eating is still coming about with the energy levels. I find myself being short, irritable, and moody, so I've tried to avoid prolonged social contact. (Got a phone call from my mom, got a phone call from an old friend from high school in LA immediately after and wanted to grab my phone and chuck it out of the window o_O). Just not sure.

that wouldn't be diabetes. it doesn't just make you vomit. my boyfriend has type 1 and that doesn't happen to him.

i'd say it might be an allergic reaction. maybe the milk? i'm not sure, i'm not really that keen when it comes to body problems but i've had itbs and that fucked with my stomach a lot.

maybe an ulcer? i'd had one of those too and they suck bad.

Oh gosh the diet change will definitely make you ill as a hornet. If you're doing everything right then I'd keep what you've been told up. I guess the sugar levels going nuts directly coorelates to the diet. Take it easy though, if you continue to throw up and your doctor just gives you the same advice it might be time for a second opinion. Last thing you want to do is mess yourself up when you're trying to get healthier.
When you do get the money for more vegetables/fruits, see if you can make veggie smoothies with them. I'm sure there are some recipes that don't suck around the Internet. Might make things more tasty.
By just parking farther back you're already making a big difference. Wait a bit before you take it any farther though, this is a huge change for your body. Last thing you wanna do is over exert yourself while it's getting used to it.
Also if you're watching nutrional values and calories, try out recording your food intake on (you need an account to see links)
The app was god send for me.

@(you need an account to see links) might be right actually. Food allergies don't necessarily have to make you break out in hives. I've heard of folks who get super sick and puke everywhere.

Roger roger squad leader. I'm checking the site out now and yeah might be good to have a food diary of sorts so I can take that with me to the gastrologist next time to show them what I've been doing, and at least have some proof that I've been trying to do what they want. I'll just try and take it easy until the weekend and if I haven't vommitted again by that point, I'll try some very light walking in my fitness center at the apartment.

Yeah, doctors love food diaries usually. Helps them out to see what you're putting in you. I know my dad's oncologist is super delighted every time he brings in his. You'd think he'd brought in a basket full of puppies idk.
I'm mad jealous of your ability to use a fitness center (really good though). I'm always worried about people being dicks.

Ah, haters have never really gotten under my skin about the way I look while working out or otherwise. People that wanna talk shit about people being fat usually just have some sort of insecurity with the way they look. Besides, most people who talk shit about looks aren't super attractive themselves. I'm a good looking dude, just a fat one. Plus I've been blessed with an extremely egotistical arrogant at times personality and that's enough to shrug it off. Hehe. Seriously though, I feel as though the gastrologist folks are blowing me off because I haven't lost weight, so I want to show them the effort so that way they can show me some effort, at least I think that's a good idea for now.

Hey, at least you've got the confidence in the bag. That's something you can't gain by dieting or working out. It really confuses me why assholes at the gym even exist.
"Haha look at that fat ass!" Working out. At the gym. To get in shape.
Kinda dumb to make fun of them.
Then again, some people treat the gym as an extension of a club. They wanna pick up hot babes/dudes. All sweaty and shit idk. /rant
The doctors are probably just miffed cause they want (or should) to help, but have been consistently let down by patients. It's a shame that personal nutritionists/trainers are so damn expensive. If I didn't have to go through god awful amounts of schooling I'd become a trainer and help folks for very cheap. I love seeing people "improve" themselves.

@(you need an account to see links), sounds like your blood pressure/sugar dropped too low from lack of food. I deal with it all the time-- have to carry around crackers/peppermints with me.
