[Need help] Verbal and non verbal communication help.

What are some good questions to ask people from another culture, I need only questions for the moment.

I will +rep anyone who can help.

Here is what I have for verbal so far. I need about 2-4 questions for verbal and 10-12 questions for non verbal.

    1. What is the language that you speak?
    2. What is the second language of your country? Give me an example of some of the words or phrases having the same or different cultural meaning.
    3. When you speak to people in your country do you use mr. or mrs. To speak to them or something else such as mama/papa?
    4. Do you use slang words and if so what are some of the words you use?
    5. If slang is used in your culture what is the different between our slang compared to Canada

Just saying these are strange questions and assumes that other cultures know a lot about canada (maybe american's would but uh...yes...anyway)

    1. What is the language that you speak?
    English
    2. What is the second language of your country? Give me an example of some of the words or phrases having the same or different cultural meaning.
There is no 'second language'. I guess you could say that the aboriginals have their own language however it was never adopted.
    3. When you speak to people in your country do you use mr. or mrs. To speak to them or something else such as mama/papa?
Do you mean talking to your parents? I usually just call my parents mum and dad. I generally call people by their first names. Surnames were only necessary in school.

    4. Do you use slang words and if so what are some of the words you use?
    I personally don't use slang...

    5. If slang is used in your culture what is the different between our slang compared to Canada’s slang?
I don't really know canadian slang. I'd say that there is some slang used in australian culture but I don't know what is common and what is not. It also depends on how rural you go. 3hrs drive from the city and you'll hear more G'day's, mate, grog...if you are really interested you are probably better off googling australian slang.

    6. What is the difference between you’re your culture and canadas culrue? Give me examples.
I don't know canadian culture enough to know the difference ;/ We are probably more relaxed to an extent about situations? Its hard to say.

    7. How do you greet people compared to Canada?
@__@ I didn't think canada was so different. We say "hello" or "hey" or "hi" depending on how formal you want to be. A smile helps too.

What are the traditional holidays for you?
Are you from one of the small/large ethnic group?
If so, what is the name for your group?
How many main groups are there? and small?
How do you show respect to your elders?
    Is your mother tongue unique?
What is your culture's main dish? ( paraphrase it your way xD )

These are some of the questions that people tend to ask me since I'm a foreigner and from another different culture.
