Oh my goodness what the fuck was that?
When I trade (not that I do anymore because of that fuckery above) I'll get the best for my items.
Someone wants to blacklist me? DO IT, because it saves me from dealing with the 'etiquette' blasters.
UGH, that was a nightmare. Thank you for the screenies @(you need an account to see links)
Poor OP on that thread didn't deserve that. I'm slow when it comes to trading, too.

Neopets is full of moral white knights who must uphold some kind of personal code. I see it on the cheating aspect a bit too.
Kind of annoying.
I literally laugh out loud at people who bitch about "proper etiquette" on boards.
Wow. That's all I can say LOL
I lost it at "Dude like go to church or something" lmao

Alright, unpopular opinion but I don't see wtf is wrong with a trader trying to find the best value for their item if that's their priority. If someone happens to offer more during the process of deciding (when a trade isn't even decided upon, but two people have extended their offers/lists), then that is completely fine.
I definitely think it's rude if you try to swoop in AFTER a trade has been decided, or someone's picked out items, but I don't see what's so bad about competing offers.

thought u had to be over 13 to use the boards??Watch me have something really great that they want one day and I'll be like Nope, not trading with YOU!!!
The fact that your opinion IS unpopular even though it should be common sense is discouraging.
That's just the law of supply and demand. Get butthurt if someone is willing to offer more than you can, but don't blame the seller for doing the obvious and taking the higher offer.
I agree with Pyre, so I don't see what the OP did wrong. I would understand it being "rude" if the OP and Pan had agreed upon a trade, but they hadn't. Just because you're the first to offer doesn't mean they HAVE to trade with you. And if OP was swamped with mails and such, it'd be super easy to miss the fact that Pan had said "I can offer GBCs, too".
To be fair, out of everyone on the board, the person I'd block/blacklist is Pan. She freaked out SO much and got so freaking sassy, I wouldn't want to trade with someone so dramatic and childish. Just because OP didn't trade with her, she immediately got salty and assumed OP traded with Puff because she offered more GBCs.
I think OP handled herself well. I haven't played Neo for a while so I don't recognize any of the people, but based on these first impressions I'd say Puff and Pan are the two instigators and the two "rude" ones. OP was calm and explained herself, rather than pointing figures and flipping out like the other two.
Puff's posts were already deleted by the time I got to the board, but I read them in the screenies. She seemed almost more like a troll at times, tbf.
I think NCC trading etiquette is a little silly. I agree with the majority of it (such as no scamming/underoffering, don't accept a trade then trade with someone else, etc.), but if there's a dumb rule where you have to trade with the first person who offered and you can't try to get the most value out of your item, then that's just... well, it's just a dumb rule. I sure as heck wouldn't follow it, even if I still played. If they blacklisted me, I wouldn't even care - saves me with having to deal with their petty nonsense.
