New updates on the plot! Involves more potion making, so maybe all the battling has not been for naught.

Looking on the boards, it seems nothing has been actually updated on the site, so perhaps they prematurely released new achievements. Nonetheless, more potions are required and there is also a "donate x amount of potions" so time to stock up on ectoplasm

The donation thing is probably NC related but I really hope the BD difficulty keeps going up and we can donate potions to those who can't obtain the ingredients.

Unless I'm missing something, it seems terribly uneventful too. I rarely play on my main and I've had no issue keeping up, they haven't added anything new to it in like a week it seems. (I exaggerate a little, but still, hah). When was charity corner last year? Wasn't it like January? If they do another one of those things will really get out of control, hah.

I sure hope they wait, R99 prices still haven�t gone up much besides the gourmets.

I doubt it.. they wouldn't put a step in the plot that is NC related. People would babyrage so hard. Especially since NC isn't available in every country (pretty sure) even if you could find a way to get it online. It would just be a super poor choice on their part. It's probably either donating to something like the money tree or even simpler like clicking a link similar to how they have you click to make the potions.

But if they did what can you even do about it? Just skip the step and get over it... It's just neopets.

The philosophy of the site for a very long time has been to keep NC purely cosmetic. Making a major site plot rely on spending real cash would be an unwelcome change for many reasons.

I hope that stays true. But what I wanted to know is how complaining about it (if it happened) would somehow be indignant. The decision to keep doing that is one of the few reasons I can still respect Neopets.

Whether you like it or not it's not uncommon for most games these days to require you to pay something to be able to complete an event. The people who buy things on the site are the ones who are keeping it alive for everyone. Need to be able to see both sides of why they would do something. Is it fair? Idk.. but I hope it would bring them enough money to keep creating more better content in the future. Wait until they go mobile and have more games that will require in app purchases to be able to get to the higher levels. Neopets needs to keep up with the times.

I thought about this too. Something like having everyone donate their battledome items now that we're in a time of "peace." BD items are the only ones that charity corner hasnt called for yet.
