When I first signed up I went by Cobra, inspired by Kobra Kid from My Chemical Romance's "Danger Days, True lives of the Fabulous Killjoys," album. Now that I'm more active I wanted something a bit more "me," so I took killjoy, another MCR reference, and changed it to ChillJoy, because I'm a super laid back, easy going, care free individual and my most important pursuit in life is joy.

@(you need an account to see links): Love seeing another Tolkien fan here! I don't know of many people who would go for Smaug as their favorite. Tolkien really gave him a wonderfully full personality and fleshed his character out!

Personally I was trying to come up with something unique. I went for a music theme: lyre + chord. Then there's the Lyra constellation based on the instrument. I short-form my username to Lyra because of it. I'm not into astrology - I just enjoy music and the night sky!

@(you need an account to see links) Hehe :3 Yea, wasn't sure exactly how to go about telling others that I went through a name change, not to mention didn't really think it was necessary to make a board about it or include it in my signature or anything, so I just went about my day on the forum as my new name, Kon. Seeing as this thread was created, it gave me the perfect opportunity to bring it up! ^^

I might be the only one/one of few who noticed immediately, but I was also working on graphics for you at the time! I really like the shorter username idea, and Kon is such a character. It suits you well!

I definitely enjoy having a much shorter name. It's easier to remember, and with it being a character from an anime makes it much more fun!

The timing of that was actually perfect. I really didn't expect to find the Void roughly the same time I went through the name change! So knowing that you had noticed it during that time is like as if I went into the Void as one person, and came out as another.

Same I changed my username here on the forums a while back because my previous name was my online AIM handle from back in the old days of restock chats.

Mine was a change too, I used to be my favourite star wars character but I felt like this just was way more self expressive
