What the hell, I only get paid 8.00 an hour. Minimum wage here is 7.25; only get up to 28 hours.
Going to be full time soon though, and it gets bumped to 40 hours a week at 9.25 an hour.

$32.25/hour after taxes and insurance deductions (assuming a 40 hour week, I'm on salary) plus quarterly bonuses.
I also tend bar on the weekends for play money, usually making $25-$30/hour.

I am a freelance translator, so I don't really have a fixed price, but... At the words per hour rate and the price per word I'm being currently paid... $11 an hour.

Jeez you Americans need to adopt some better pay. I am Canadian, I make $22/hr as a research assistant at a technical post-secondary institute. I want a new job though, the ones I can get and have applied for range from $19/hr to $40/hr. Though rent alone is $1400 a month and that's a steal for what we have.

I'm not even American. I'm Brazilian, working for mostly Brazil, and India and China as well. India and China actually pay pretty well compared to Brazil, because they at least pay in dollars, but with the R$ to USD exchange rate of lately, it's actually rare to get things past 3 cents of dollar per word.

Here in hungary minimum wage is like 2/hr. So basically i can call this shit? I dont work because i wont do anything for that low amount so imma just move out of this fuckin country as soon as possible. Btw you can be anything your wage will still be 2-3/hr.
