I believe modern neopets is also on a hiatus from having new members. But honestly youre not missing much with that site, its been pretty much dead for months now with no updates. Modneo doesnt have any sort of referral, just the two options Bowsette mentioned, but both are closed right now I think. No idea when it will be back.

I've only played modneo, so no idea on virtu.pet

Just wanted to note here that the lack of updates on Modern Neo is because the main coder has been having some medical issues, so they're taking a small break to handle those and recover.

oooh thanks, good to know. sorry if i came off flippant haha, im not in the discord and i feel like all the updates wind up posted there and not on the site. hopefully their health gets better.

i feel like there was a lot of drama with the artists and the discord, hopefully that all settles too. i was just minding my own business and didnt realize there was drama til people posted on the boards. hopefully the combo of health issues and drama doesnt kill the site. i loved collecting pets and items on there

VP is the same boat, hasn't been updated in a few months. i've played both and while i enjoyed them while they were active, i can't really recommend them in their current states.

edit: if you mean neopets classic, i recommend avoiding that site with a 10 foot pole. the staff is, not great to say the least.
