Question Proxys, VPNs, IPs How I can use for play neopets???

    Hello everybody

I have some question about and I will post more if I get more XD

What is the difference between proxy and VPN??? Which is more secure?

If I have a dynamic IP's service and I reset the modem, make some movements (for example secure an acc), and reset again the modem, it's secure?

Or which is a advantage from have a dynamic IP ?

    Thanks

A proxy server is a computer that acts as a middleman between your computer and the internet. When using a proxy the traffic will seem to be routed from that IP. Proxies do not use as many resources as a VPN, due to not encrypting passing traffic. VPN's show no activity from your actual IP, they re-route ALL traffic.

VPN are more common, and mask you better. They can tell you are using a VPN however cant distinguish your actions and if you are illegit since a lot of people use VPN's who are legit. These really help with chain freezings due to IP.

proxy, depending on where you get them and how good they are can determine if you are okay.
You need a proxy that will also mask your browser and Operating system for it to be really truly effective.

Tor browser uses a complex system of routing your traffic in a bunch of web servers around the world. Th IP changes every few minutes. It's extremely hard to track your activity, even the NSA has a hard time doing so. Just think of it as VPN on steroids. However, it is hard to get Tor to work with programs.

I was actually just wondering about this, how does a VPN work in relation to the programs on here? For instance, how can I protect my home IP if I wanted to run a few Habi bots with a VPN, or things of that nature?

VPNs generally route your ENTIRE internet connection to the VPN server. If you ran multiple habi bots (which isn't too safe anymore), then they would all be routed to the VPN server along with any other internet traffic from your computer.

@(you need an account to see links) I see. And, hypothetically, if I ran a SSer and an ABer at the same time with two different accounts, would TNT's servers register those two accounts as being on the same IP address? And do VPNs use a dynamic IP system as well?

Depends on the VPN. Most do not have a dynamic IP, so TNT would see that both accounts are on the same IP. HOWEVER, this is ok as a lot of people use VPN services whether legit or not, and they all have the same IP.
