Waka NC Value guide Update

It does feel like the end of an era, Waka has been a staple of the NC trading market for years and I remember when it was formed. I’m not sure if another guide will take its place or if values will fluctuate wildly for a time until a new guide is assembled..nonetheless, it’s upsetting to see such a recognizable and important part of the NCC ending. The time invested in it must have been insane and thus I understand the decision! I do hope NC trading won’t be hit too hard after this. I wonder if someone else or a team of people will host the guide instead, the future of trading will be interesting.

There's not much information that has been shared on the board, but it seems they are taking over /~Waka. The petpage is /~MysticcSky and the people working on it are council of a guild together. It seems really unorganized so far, so we'll see if it pans out. I hope they change the name/hosted petpage at least

definetly a loss to the community but i'm just grateful they were able to keep it up for so long, so many items to keep track of and they did a great job

If everyone working on this page is in the same guild couldn't they possibly edit the page to up the value of items they're trying to trade? Maybe I'm being too pessimistic. I hope it works out, but I agree the petpage should be something easier to remember.

That's a valid concern! It also doesn't appear like most of them are very active in the NC community and already on the first page OP questioned someone's trade. Even just taking on non-wearables too when there is already a well established guide for that just shows that they are wildly unprepared. I wish more people were voicing opinions as there are so few questions/criticisms/concerns posted which is very unusual for a "new" guide.

I kind of wish a big entity like DTI or even JN could keep track of the new guide... even heard people on NN saying they were going to attempt the new guide (dunno if it was the people in question) but all I’m gonna say is looks like it’ll be yikes for a while.

OP added some information, but it also seems like they're going to rely quite a bit on information from the NCC discord which is a cesspool. They're going to need a lot of guidance to really make this successful IMO.

Well on one note, I've traded with each of those users that will be part of the team so they're not completely random
But they're definitely not that active in comparison and don't seem experienced with values or dealing with populars/fluctuating items

Wouldn't be my first choice of people to take over the guide at all but I guess it's good to see someone willing to step up. Not really sure how I feel about it in the long run though...I'm kinda expecting it not to work out too well
