Today, I really miss air conditioning.

That's it, really. Sorry, guys. I just needed to... vent. Pun probably intended.

lol i wouldn't mind having air conditioning either at the moment and it's only going to get worse the rest of the week (or at least that's what they predict for here)

It's actually storming here and the breeze is quite lovely. It was sweltering all week though

Ugh, tell me about it. Same forecast here, pretty much. I think what bothers me the most is that there is no AC at work, either. So there's no relief. Then I can't sleep at night.

I wonder if I could get a doctor to write me a prescription for air conditioning. The UK is supposed to be really big on wellbeing and health and safety and all that.

lol if not take a regular ventilator and a big chunk of ice or a bowl filled with water and ice.
let the ventilator blow over the ice/bowl with water and ice and voila a primitive AC that will still cool your bedroom rather nicely.

if you're a bit of a handyman you can even improve this DIY with an old picnic cooler and a PVC elbow piece.
Just make two holes in the lid of the cooler, put the chunk of ice in there, place the ventilator through one hole and the PVC elbow through the other and secure both pieces to the lid.
after that just put on the vent and you should have yourself an AC that can blow air of about 5-10C leave it on for about an hour or two and you'll have yourself a rather nicely chilled bedroom.

i used to have one of these at my dorm but the ventilator broke after 4 years of service and haven't made myself a new DIY AC up till now.
Maybe a project for this weekend though.

If I could live in 15-25 degree weather all year round, I would be a very happy man!

Unfortunately, I live in Australia. So its either 0 or 45 -.-
