Yes really, that is a poor analogy. You shouldn't be focusing on which rules in the bible are worse to break. The discussion is whether the bible is an acceptable and reasonable source for your morality.

When a person exchanges $10 for 5mil np, is it lawful? No. Is it good? I would say yes. Two people exchanged their goods and both benefited from the transaction with no negative consequence on the larger Neopets community.
When a person steals an account from another person, is it lawful? No. And is it good? No, it is not good from an utilitarian perspective.

I was going to respond with a counter argument until I realized this isn't going anywhere.
This forum was built off the principle "hack or be hacked" - am I for taking active accounts? No. I supported the banning of selling active accounts because I know it could benefit the community.

I appreciate your point of view from a community perspective.

You cannot pick and choose what's moral when it all has the same classification.


That's like saying "Okay the bible doesn't want me killing people, but it's okay if I cheat on my spouse because that's not so bad"

LOL I was a member of a similar site for like... a year without even realising it was a cheating site. I used the item DB and general board and just thought there were a lot of neo words i didn't understand

Seriously? I'm not against cheating, not in the slightest. I'm against hypocrites saying "it's okay to buy from inactive accounts, sell inactive unconverted neopets, use auction snipers, score senders, and auto buyers, BUT IT'S NOT OKAY TO TOUCH AN ACTIVE ACCOUNT THAT'S BAD THAT'S LIKE DEATH.

I am uncomfortable with the stealing from active accounts, especially ones that have real money invested in them. If someone buys NC, subscribes to premium, or even if someone is actively enjoying Neopets... Ehhh. To each their own.
