I missed the part where you said the employee(s) that said this will be dealt with accordingly (as in fired preferably).

Did you say that or am I blind? Your employees actions were at the top of the line inappropriate, and such a negative entity that bashes your paying customers should be reprimanded accordingly.. Given the state of your company people that aren't enthusiastic about your mission and further growth should be removed.
