I am speak spanish only *-* you not interested in learn spanish??
I love learn french someday *-*
Decided because I just sit in all day while Jolz works I may aswell do something with my time.
I was crap at languages in school. I just messed around in classes, never got any work done.
So I found a website called Memrise. Ive been doing basic French for 2 days and wow, I'm surprised at how good the site is.
So once I have finished this course I may have to start some other languages too.
Reason I picked French is because I have a friend who lives in France, she married a French man and now has 1 child and is expecting another.
They will be bought up bi-lingual but it'd be nice to be able to speak to them a little in french. Even If I can only say "I would like some wine, please"
Anyway. Is anyone up for a UK time TC at some point.
I cant stay up until 3am to speak to everyone.

I did French in school such a sexy language, got a B at GCSE but I can't remember much well hardly anything lmao once I was done with it I just forgot it all, would love to learn it again, best language to speak. But if you go to France YOU MUST speak French, I went to Paris for an anniversary and at the restaurant I ordered in English and they just look at you with disgust like if you come to France you must speak our language. @(you need an account to see links)
If anybody wants to learn Dutch, I'm your guy
@(you need an account to see links) My friend has just moved to Mexico for a year or so. I will be learning Spanish with her using Memrise at some point.
@(you need an account to see links) I'm not really a fan of a French language I don't see it as the language of love. Though that may be me being a typical northerner. I just like to try and learn everything. Though I know about the French and how they prefer you to speak French. My friend only did GCSE French and now lives there. Lucky she lives in an area with a few English speakers though she still finds it very hard to do much.
@(you need an account to see links) Dutch is definitely on my to-do list

I was thinking about Japanese too. I was put on a course at work to learn Thai but it didnt go too well. I can remember what I listened too but the course was just so boring.
"listen to this, say it back, write it down...rinse and repeat.
Je voudrais du vin, s'il vous plait. Is how memrise puts it. Whats the difference in meaning between 'je voudrais' and 'j'aimerais avoir'?
I wish I could use that sentence, alot! Though since having Jason I am unable to drink alcohol. =/ I got all red and blotchy, my skin burns after just 1 sip. My sister-in-law got me a lovely bottle of wine i'm dying to open but I know it will just be wasted.
@(you need an account to see links) I love Italy! i've not been since being a small child though I remember it all. Once the kiddies are old enough I may take them. Disneyland has to take priority.

Ohh I adore French! In Canada it's mandatory to take French classes up till the ninth grade. It's easier to write than to speak on-the-spot imo :p
@(you need an account to see links), if I'm not mistaken , "J'aimerais avoir" literally translates into "I'd like to have"
• J' -> I/I'd
• aimer -> to like. In the phrase, this verb is conjugated to have the suffix, -ais, match the pronoun to say "like" as opposed to "to like" I'm pretty sure
• avoir -> to have
"voudrais" means "I would want"
Correct me if I'm wrong though, @(you need an account to see links)
