It makes me kind of hesitate about whether I want to actually fully re-invest in the site like I wanted to.
Not because I had a bunch of UCs that will now be borked, though I do feel very bad for the people that do, but because it's a really weird way to sabotage the community. They could have done literally nothing like they have been for years but chose this route instead.
It's like they just make promises than panic when it's noticed and they have to actually do something.

Id have rather them do nothing. Or instead of doing this, maybe fix areas of the site that are broken. Fix the BD and give us an amazing, in depth, battle related plot. That would garner SO much more attention.

I feel like its one of those, gotta make the money somehow and this will do it.

I don’t think their plan is going to work. Many of the accounts are bot accounts, many more are folks like us at ck. A large number are likely storage accounts as well or inactive that were taken over by other people. The numbers they see for activity likely aren’t accurate as far as real players coming back.

What I don’t understand is why eliminate an aspect of the game that many people worked very hard to trade up to and work towards. Do they think something like that will make those players want to stick around? Do they think a move like this helps to establish trust in TNT? When something that’s survived for over a decade after the conversion gets auto converted at the drop of a hat? If I were a legit player I would not want to shell out money for this scheme after the track record TNT has. This is gonna be a flop.

I completely agree with you. I think this is going to destroy a good amount of the PC and what makes pet trading fun. I myself never really got into it but that's besides the point.

No they said in the AMA that existing UCs will still have their UC skins despite the auto conversion.

Surely it's obvious most of us are involved in buying or selling in some form or fashion? Of course people are going to be upset that something they've invested real money in has been rug pulled. The anger is justified, but so is your happiness. They can coexist

Sorry, I've always been pretty distant to the "PC" and haven't played for years. Believe it or not I didn't even know people sold pets for real money until a couple of years ago. I found out my "Dream" pet was like $50 and I said well I'm never getting it then lol so yeah I'm pretty happy now. I get your anger tho, I'm sorry. I have no clue how much people spent on this but $40 was already too much imo for a single pet. I guess some people could have spent thousands.

I agree. Fix the damn servers first and foremost. It already crashed multiple times today and they haven't even released anything yet!
Finish fixing the games, the BD like you said, bugs that have been around for years...
