They asked me only the standard questions to prove it was my account. They didnt even mention what I was frozen for this time.

In the past I have also tried (3 other times over years) and they turned me down and said it would never be unfrozen due to cheating.

I was shocked as well. I figured this would be my last try honestly. I had seen a lot of activity on their facebook and ads for neopets again so I thought maybe it changed hands again.

Congrats on getting your account back! I've got almost the exact same story, verbatim! My main got iced for cheating a while back because I made some stupid mistake and someone on the neo discord/reddit somehow linked me to my neo account and reported me. I don't even know what exactly it was. But I submitted many tickets sporadically over the years trying to get it back. Tony P was the one who initially iced me and idk wtf he put in my notes, but no one would touch it.

I tried again after the new CEO took over and something has definitely changed! For one, they don't have old notes anymore, so all they can see is the general reason you got frozen and nothing else. And it feels like they don't even really care what the reason is, even if it's cheating. They must actually care about player retention now lol. I got Alice, she asked the basic questions (original email, etc etc, though I just had to name what it was, not email from it) and I got my account back! They did wipe it clean of all NP/items though (not NC), but I got it back and all my pets, avvies, trophies, etc, which is what I cared about. NP comes and goes. I'm actually still so surprised to have it, that I still haven't figured out what to do on neo anymore... so much has changed lol.

Definitely a good time to try and recover accounts!

When I started re-logging into my sides, I did lose access to one of my sides permanently that I couldnt get back with a ticket. Had a UC and some really good stuff on it. But I got fucked by the mass password reset TNT did some time ago. I logged in, it kicked me out and reset the password, and I have NO idea where that email is or the original email. I don't know the original email to that side or some of the creation info, in that era I was on a weird kick where I kept making unrelated usernames and emails and deleting them (smooth brain teen years) and I must not have ever changed it to a current email either as its not connected to anything I have access too.

They arent just helping *every* case

Sad but it could have been worse. Im just going to accept that loss and move on.
