No, not really. Especially when you're fresh out of college. My first and only job offer in that field was for a paper in a small town in Kansas.
If you decide to do journalism though, I cannot stress enough how important it is to network. Me not networking has shot me in the foot with trying to get a job in it.
I graduated several years ago. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Science. Seriously considering going back to school for a short Medical Lab Assisting program though.
i'm in half way done with my degree in classics - i have no idea what i'm gonna do with it but i'd be happy to talk your ear off about dead languages

Graduated 2 years ago, but I'm taking a few more pre-reqs as a Post-Bacc student so that I can apply to direct-entry Masters programs in nursing
I double majored in mechanical engineering and math... then got my masters in mechanical engineering a little over a year ago.
I took a little java while in school... wish i would have taken more CS classes!
