I'd be sad, my pixels have helped me with creativity stuff so much. No other site is the same for me.
if it closed, would it be possible to open a mimic site? like they've done with club penguin for example.

... I'd be very sad, actually. I love Neopets and all the associated activities: dressing up pets, playing games, talking on the boards, coding petpages, etc. It's relaxing.

I think about this often actually and weirdly enough I low-key wish this would happen. I really love Neopets and have spent the majority of my life on it. But at the end of the day it's a virtual pet site. And maybe if it were completely gone I'd actually find better ways to spend my time? I also care WAY too much about my pets on Neo and my legit accounts. If everything went POOF, it'd kinda be a weird relief.
^^ Thanks to Menine for the icon & Gremlin for this userbar!

Though I wouldn't lose contact with them, I'd lose the thread that ties me to some of the best and most loyal internet friends I've ever had. I'd also lose the pets I've had since I was 7 and the legit UCs I've spent waaay too long trading for.
I'd still probably be better off without neo distracting me, but I'd be pretty bummed out.

I'd be very sad if it ever happened. I've been around on neo for a long time. I'd miss the games and getting trophies and the friends I made. I'd miss my pets too, especially my pets. I think I'd feel quite empty without neo.
Well, leopets is still around I'm pretty sure.
I dont look at it like I would be out money because I spend money on in-game purchases for things I'll play for a few weeks then never touch again, so I view my NC spending habits like that. I'd have more money bc I wouldnt be paying for premium or buying NC. I wouldn't lose touch with my friends because the ones I actually consider friends and not neopets acquaintances, I already talk to off-site.

I wouldn't be surprised if neo shut down. I thought it was going to happen after JumStart acquired the company, but I am so so glad to see it still thriving, somewhat. Neo has probably shaped my interests in what they are today.
With Neo, I learned so many cool things and made quite a few good friends, who I sadly never had the chance to be in contact with outside Neo. At around age 12, I picked up HTML/CSS and self taught myself diligently coding my pets pages from scratch or altering existing ones. Also around that time, I tried roleplaying for the first time, and I absolutely loved it.
If/when it disappears, I feel like a part of myself would go with it. My childhood and the late summer nights I spent roleplaying, coding, and chatting with good friends would feel lost. My roots would be gone. I guess nostalgia is one of the main reasons I keep coming back to neo, and one of the main reasons I'm kinda scared to lose it.
