Did you message the person that sold it to you on clraik about it?
It is possible the original owner came back, that happened to me once.
But given that the pet is being transferred sounds very unlikely.
Sorry for your pet, if I was you I would neomail them from a shell to try to work something out. Did that once before and it worked. (Veiled threats is what I used though perhaps not the best xD)

I'd say they got into the email. I'd say the email was unregistered and they created it, added their own password and pin. Accounts on stealth are one of those things that I think are stupid. You don't know if the account is actually taken or not so whoever took it probably saw it on stealth and thought it was okay to touch.
Yeah, I've bought an account before sold as inactive and the original owner came back 3 days into me securing it. Honestly, with stealth, I don't think sellers should be allowed to state how long an account has been secured since they can't know the last login.
At least I got most of my shit back because she thought my UC was an "ugly quiggle thing" and I managed to convince her to take a hissi as trade since I was being "nice".
I'd report it if I were you tbh, even if just for the lols :p
She still hasn't been accepted on the other account...which I think is strange. I don't know what to do if she ends up back on my shell account, since I don't have the pin to transfer her to my actual account. I won't report the pet until I see where she goes so I can NM the new owner and see what happens.

Is it possible someone sent a trade request for the pet? And that's why it's still traveling (because it hasn't been accepted)? If so, don't they automatically cancel all unaccepted transfers within 3 days or something?
But that doesn't explain the password, email, and pin being different... I'm really not sure.
I'd try neomailing the account and see if you can convince the person to give it back.
I hadn't had time! I literally changed the password, let it sit, moved that UC to it since it was my own UC and some NPs so i could let it sit for a few weeks. I didn't change all the info at once to avoid looking too-too sketch, but this girl showed right back up in her account, changed all the crap in an hour or 2 and immediately shit-talked me in her lookup. Like... 2 months later and my name is still on her lookup bitching about me "hacking" her account. I cannot make this bullshit up.

Well whatever happened, my UC didn't end up on a different account. It's back on my account. But now I can't move her since the pin got changed, and I can't figure anything out since the person changed all of my info.
