Personally, I donated 150 times r99 items but I only recieved like 15 r99 items. Mostly the items which I got were between r91 - r98 :/ However, I have heard that donating r90 + items is more profiting according to some people. Haven't tried it yet though.

Why do people think that donating r99 is any better? I never donated anything over r95, and I got a load of r99s. What you get is based on what you donate, but it's a scale of +/-9, not an exact 1:1 ratio. You only have to donate r90+ to get r90+ items.

I mean, depending on how the prize is determined, that could make perfect sense. If it decides on a rarity first, then it should be 1 out of every 10. Probably makes more sense to do it randomly from the larger pool, R99s make up 18% of R90-99 (based on a quick JN search), so in that case getting 15 out of 150 donations is a bit of poor luck.

The prize is determined by the range of the items you donated. IE, if you donate five items in the r90-r99 range, you get one random item in the r90-r99 range. The actual rarity of the items you donate makes absolutely no difference at all. It doesn't determine the rarity of your reward, because it's just selecting from a pool of items in the range.

I know that. I was saying that if it has two random selections vs one then those would be the expected numbers.
