If feels like I'm missing the beginning
Would you end up with the same result if you computed the total surface area using the formula S = LA + 2B? Explain.

If feels like I'm missing the beginning
? That's an odd problem. Is it referring to a part of something else?
Total surface area of what?

Okay, here is what my friend said.
"The instructions were:
I told you the chart information I put?
I said the front and back was 570 centimeters. Top and bottom was 114. Left and right box was 180 centimeters.
114 centimeters as well.
Well I was supposed to measure the length and width of a cereal piece.
And that's what I did.
I was supposed to measure the length and width of a cereal box.
Well cereal box pieces,"
So have you already calculated the surface area of something?
I didn't calculate it, but my friend tried to.
" 30 1/2 times 19 1/2 is 570. 6 times 19 1/2 is 114. 10 1/2 times 6 is 180 all of this times 2.
Equals 1,728"
She says she almost multiplied, I don't quite understand.
" I multiplied something instead of added.
If she needs to know 2B is the 2 bases of the cereal box. LA is the Lateral part."
