The great thing about moms is that they appreciate ANYTHING. Flowers always work especially on a budget. Or get a card and stick a gift card in it and grab a teddy bear. The kind of stuff that you can get at Walmart, but doesn't necessarily scream "I got this last minute gift at Walmart last night."

Or you can make her a card with your handprint on it like from kindergarten. That'll make her cry.
Or if you have ingredients at your house, you can bake her cookies or a cake and write I love you, Mom on them.

You're funny. No matter what I do for my mom it's 'never enough'. She told me I made her cry one year because I got her candy, a homemade card, and flowers, and all of her friend's kids got them more. lololol.

Not to discourage you John ahaha sorry my mom is psycho about Mother's Day. I would assume MOST would like a homemade card... grumble

I tend to just buy everything online access to EVERYTHING.

Last Mother's Day (it was in March in the UK), I bought my mother a digital photo frame -- and preloaded it with photos of my dad, who had passed away about five weeks earlier. She really appreciated that. I got her other things as well, just scented candles, pretty things, etc.

Flowers are always a good idea as well. There are so many places online that offer next day delivery, so even if it's a last-minute thing, you're sorted =]

xD John ended up making a list of reason why he loves his mom. It started with 100...then went down to 50...then 25...and the final result had 20.

i thought usually with lists (the exception being to do lists)
    you add to them
    not deduct.

The original idea was to do a list of 100. But he said it was too long and decided 50 was a better number. Eventually he was stuck at 17 so decided having 20 reasons was the best idea
