Bullied Student, expelled for defending himself

I'm sure the bully deserved it, but why not spend the stun gun $$ and buy a hidden camera? Then you'd have solid evidence for a lawsuit.

Someone bullies you......and now you wanna sue them? Shoulda paid for some lessons to defend himself.

same thing happened to me kinda? this kid was bullying me calling me the "N" word every day, because im white black mexican and irish. got annoying after a while so i told the teacher nd yea he got kicked out. aha i was so close to punching him in the face

I don't think you can sue somebody for bullying especially a minor. If the teachers were bullying it'd be a little different...

How about instead of buying a stun gun, he can learn some martial arts and defend himself.
A gun only gives a man fake feeling that he is powerful. Once the gun is gone, without any training in self defence, anybody is subjected to abuse.

I think he deserves it (also want to stir up some debating), getting expelled. If he feels helpless get some self defense or MMA lessons, then if they hit you first unleash some rage on their ass, you don't get in to much trouble if you defend yourself after being hit first.

If you think its fine to defend yourself before being attack i think your wrong.
What do i define as being attack, already being hit or them in the motion of attack you.

If you teach kids it's fine to take preemptive strikes to "protect yourself" what to stop people from carry around guns and knives (yes legal in the US, not legal in Australia without a license) and shoot/stabbing people walking towards them because they think their going to be attacked?

I know some people will have different options so let me hear them and ill get back to them ASAP which is pretty slowly now days

Back in school you are allowed to used self-defense only when when your coughing up blood, on the floor and the assaulter is attempting to curb stomp you

Good on the kid for sticking up for himself, bravo, instead of shooting it in the air he should have shot one in the head, that would make for good reading

I have been stabbed/knocked out and worse when i was at school, school never cared that i was getting picked on

The only retribution i got was when i got in a lucky swing and ripped one of the bullies checks.... that was a good day

Anyway, the schools need to take this shit more seriously, i took a craft knife to school everyday just waiting for the time that i would have to use it to defend myself, these teachers and schools think shit is fine as long as no one dies

I got bullied and it made me a better person, i know what its like to be hurt so im kind to almost everyone
