emily, if you're gunna try sleeping, you have to try longer than 30 minutes, myself personally, it takes me like an hour, or longer of just lying in bed trying to go to sleep, and even then i jolt back awake every 10-20 minutes, then go back to sleep
so, shut the computer completely off, and the monitor, shut off anything that might make noises, or distract you, then climb into bed, cover up or whatever, close your eyes and don't think of anything except for sleeping, eventually you will sleep
