I feel like this could be a game.

Phrases or Idioms said incorrectly that irritate you or a phrase in general you just hate.

I just heard someone say

"We were two peas in a pot"

... it's "Two peas in a POD"


I hate the phrase "awfully cute"

Or "Irregardless"... it's just regardless.

Awful and Cute should not be used together ahahaha.

Phrases with incorrect grammar don't bother me too much, but I can think of one expression. It's region specific, and even if I lived there, I wouldn't use it! "Wicked good" or "wicked" followed by any positive attribute, drives me nuts. One of these is not like the other!

There are so many of these that bug me.

Here's one: "I could care less" vs the correct "I couldn't care less" when you're mentioning something that is of zero importance to you.

If you say "I could care less" then you are saying quite literally that it is possible for you to care less than you do. What you mean is that you could NOT care less, in essence, your level of caring is zero.

i do a lot of phone calls and go through a lot of phone trees at work and there's a bunch that say "xyz so we can get back to you more quickly!" and it annoys me any time, just say "quickly" or "more quick"

more quickly sounds DUMB

I think it has to be mislearned and then not corrected other wise how could we get so far from it x)... its like that game "Phone" you wisper something in 1 persons ear and they repeat it to the next and by the time it gets to the end of the line they have a totally different phrase.
