If we have enough interest we can maybe play in teams so that there is a balance between experienced and no as experienced players. @(you need an account to see links) would.know more about the logistics of that as she has done tournaments like that before.

I would personally advise against mixing experienced with inexperienced players on teams only because that can make or break a team's score. Teams should be comprised with players of similar abilities for an equal playing field.

Whoa, I came back to a lot posted haha. I'm fine with teams and the likes or individual racing, whichever is fine with everyone. If we do different CCs, then it'd be nice if the 150 CC racers used Frantic items over normal.

Personally, I am not a fan of "frantic" items. It takes away the balance from those in the lead versus those at the end of the pack. Normal item sets is the most fair option for any CC.

Individual racing can be done, but it would have to again be score based and separated by CC groups.

Doesn't frantic items give higher positioned racers a better chance to defend themselves? 200 CC uses frantic for their grand prix, for some reason, and it evened out between the coins I'm pelted with if normal items were set.

It just gives more shells and lightnings to front line players. If you play right, you don't need frantic item sets to defend yourself

Also, 200CC is a different level of play, on a few different fronts, so... not sure if our group would require that

Nah, normal items just sees higher places getting pelted by red shells back to back lol, but normal is fine too.

Another thing, people may need the booster courses as well. I'm not sure if only one of us needs it for the rest of us to play on the new courses too.

Iirc before I got the DLC I was able to play the booster courses when @(you need an account to see links) or others would host.

I have both things so if I'm available I'd love to participate! I play MK very little to none these days so I'll probably get whooped but it would be a ton of fun to play with yall! Later is better than sooner, as my January is already a mega wash, so feb onward is def better for me.
