⭐⭐ New year Resolutions - What do you want to achieve in 2024? ⭐⭐

This year my goal is to enroll for a scholarship so I can go to Madrid, Spain and do a Masters Degree in Branding.

I already started texting the universities and started my paperwork process to legalize and apostille all my University/School titles and grades.

Very excited for this new year, I'm one of those people who will not rest until my goals are fulfilled. Hoping for the best and positive energy for what's to come 🎉

For my new years resolution, I have a few things I want to achieve.

1. Finish 4 out of 5 certifications
2. Apply to my dream career

And something out of my control...
3. Play on Survivor

4. Get my YouTube channel going!

My birthday is in February so I tend to wait until then for yearly goals since I think it's easier for me to align with my age than a calendar year if that makes sense, so basically, I'll start in Feb lol but these are my goals:

1. Gain a certification relevant to my position (systems administrator)
2. Actually follow a proper cut (I've just been so inconsistent with my diet this year)
3. Deadlift and Squat well into 200lbs each and bench my body weight (keeping these goals "low" so I don't injure myself going too high lol)
4. Stick to something for consistent cardio. Basically, finding a sport I can stick to rather than going through cycles of intense cardio to no cardio. I want to have fun with cardio so I need something I would look forward to doing. Currently I'm looking at rollerblading and joining a street hockey team, boxing, a martial art, or a dance class.
5. Start saving money again.
6. Have a plan/list of things I want to accomplish by the time I'm 35 and actually work towards those things.
7. Draw/sketch at least 5 pages a week. I love to draw, but pretty much did nothing this whole year because I was so busy and focused with other things. I want to make time for the things that I genuinely enjoy again.

serious top goals:
1. start dating, make serious attempts to find a significant other
2. find a decent paying job after graduating, regardless of how much it utilizes my degree (masters in psychology)
3. eat more mindfully, limit eating after dinner to special occasions

smaller goals:
1. FINALLY finish breaking bad
2. beat all mainline metal gear solid games
3. read 12+ novels

I plan on working on myself. That includes my physical and mental health. I'm hoping my husband and I can start a family this year so I need to start making some lifestyle changes.

Serious Goals
• Address my weight/fitness and make an actual effort to get healthier. It isn't BAD right now, but that doesn't mean I should wait until it is.
• Quit drinking. Like above it isn't BAD but I need to look around me and be aware that these things are a slippery slope and I still have a chance to catch myself before I hit rock bottom.

Side Quests
• Keep reading, I started and finished a book recently and forgot how much I enjoyed doing things other than going through my Steam library for the 1,000th time.
• Draw again. Just because I'm bad at something doesn't mean I shouldn't do it if I enjoy it, and it doesn't mean I HAVE to practice to get better if I just don't want to. It's not a career choice.

That's all, I think, and the thoughts behind them.
I hope everyone can accomplish their goals and have, at bare minimum, a tolerable year next year. It seems like '23 was gnarly for a lot of people.

My only goal is to work on eating/exercising! I am not great with food and my weight is starting to really bother me. If anyone has tips, let me know! I struggle majorly with energy and with being hungry... I can't stand the sensation of hunger.

I'd like to pass the American medical licensing boards (STEP 1 at least, STEP 2 hopefully) next year! I'm sooo lazy though and have barely studied... I need to get it together!
