⭐⭐ New year Resolutions - What do you want to achieve in 2024? ⭐⭐

I'd really like to find a job and get into the education program I'm interested, and move toward independence again. I want to make more art.

Most importantly, I just want to find a new thing to do that makes me consistently happy/passionate.

[edit] I guess these aren't really resolutions, so much as goals/hopes, as a lot of stuff falls outside my control. But I guess the resolution would be to keep trying and to not accept the status quo.

It sounds like good goals and totally qualify as resolutions!

2. Maintain a more consistent workout routine.
3. Visit my mum more often.

This year my goal is to enroll for a scholarship so I can go to Madrid, Spain and do a Masters Degree in Branding.

I already started texting the universities and started my paperwork process to legalize and apostille all my University/School titles and grades.

Very excited for this new year, I'm one of those people who will not rest until my goals are fulfilled. Hoping for the best and positive energy for what's to come 🎉

I have a few actually

-I want to learn coding
-I want to build a gaming PC
-I want to finally go on a cut and see if I can get leaner
-I have a big work related project that's been cooking for a while, I want to finally get it moving

Less so resolutions than overall goals I want to work towards, I guess, but:

-work on my self discipline/prioritization better; too many nights this year I spent burning away hours just playing games 😔 it's gotten pretty out of control where I stay up until like 4/5am sometimes
-focus more on my creative work (specifically writing but drawing as well, 2020-22 was really good for it but I fell off hard in 2023, possibly due to burnout)
-maaaaaybe try to get a little bit of exercise in somewhere 🙃 per my bmi I'm fairly underweight but that's not really something I can change, but I need to strengthen my body because even doing small physical tasks is really taxing on me and I'm getting to an age where my physical health should be shored up

My daughter was born early January this year so that whirlwind kind of tossed me off track from many of the resolutions I had set for this past year. However, she also provided me with many outlets to form new resolutions, many of which revolve around family and my new challenges and joys that come along with it. We are blessed to have another little one coming in April next year, so I'm sure having 2 babies so close in age will come with it's own challenges, but I'm excited to see how that goes!

My current resolutions are simple and revolve around family, health, and professional accomplishments. I want to get back to a more healthy, balanced diet and eventually mix in more working out. I think this will give me more energy, make me feel better and sleep better. I want to make sure my family is happy, healthy, and taken care of. Starting new traditions and growing together is important. The last priority is my professional accomplishments. I want to eventually get my masters and earn more certifications to enable me to push for a bigger raise. I also want to spend some time during my parental leave to job hunt for a second job that I can reasonably maintain along with my main job to add some cushion to the bank account and save for "fun" things. Paying for daycare for two children under 2 years old is NO JOKE!

I dont really havea resolutions.. perhaps just a continued way of life going forward? I do have goals:

Schooling for engineering tech degree to move up on at Fermi

Continued car flipping

Growth in my house movement (selling it)

as well as a family.

I really hope everyone here achieves the little goals to then get a bigger goal accomplished before time ends! This is my way of thinking. Its not bleak but i do appreciate the time i have now 100 fold more than i used too.

So for 2024 here are my goals

Be more consistent with my fitness. CLICHE I KNOW! I want to have at least 3 active days a week.
I want to obtain a special certification relates to my career that is going to take a lot of work and reflexion.
I also want to get some house renovations done as well. So we will need to save up for that

1. Find a new job. The place I am at now is a constant source of depression for me. Just thinking about going back has already ruined my holiday. I thinking about it now. I WILL leave this job as soon as I find another.
2. Get 30 mins of cardio a day. Got a walking pad for Xmas so it should be easy just need to get to it.
