⭐⭐ New year Resolutions - What do you want to achieve in 2024? ⭐⭐

As the new year approaches, it is time to consider next year.
I know plans change but currently

1. Enroll in a Master degree (probably master in entrepreneurship)
2. I want to book at least 30 shoots a month and exceed my current profit
3. I want to put more effort into my etsy shop and also start seeing more of a income out of that

I also want to update my website for my photography and be better with social media

Mine is relatively simple. Just be better with money.

My overall goal is to put at least $150 into savings every month, and over time try my best to avoid being tempted into buying convenience food, since that's my biggest "waste" when it comes to how much money I have at any given time. It's a baby step, but you gotta start *somewhere*

As for me:

1. Finish at least one of my 2 remaining ongoing fanfics (I finished my largest one this year, along with all its side stories, which I'm SUPER proud of)

2. Work on my "Games to Play" list (Which is growing steadily... I just bought Pokemon Shield, Brilliant Diamond and Let's Go Eevee recently, and that's not even counting the non-Pokemon stuff I should be playing)

3. Ditto with my "Movies/TV Shows to watch" and "Books to read" (Picture DVDs and books stacked all over my room )

4. Make progress on my "Local tourist" list (Something I started after lockdowns lifted, where I would go around playing tourist at various places in Singapore, like the Zoo, Science Centre, etc... I've still got a lot left on my list I haven't visited yet though)

5. Bake my way through my copy of Baking for Dummies (This might be tricky, given how many recipes there are, especially since I'm only allowed to bake sporadically cos my parents complain about having too much baked goods if I do it too often)

6. Get a TON of CK Userbars

7. Work on my Neopets avatars/stamps list (That's probably like wishing for a unicorn, but oh well)

...I may have been a bit too ambitious with this list, oops

Sounds doable. I think mine actually comes down to "make more money" I feel I am at that spot where I really do not waste money. I don't eat lots of junk food and its just impossible to safe unless I increase my income

I love the local tourist idea. I think as a photographer I actually get to see a lot of the go to places around my area. Think that's one of the great perks

I watch a lady on tiktok who logs her sleep, her mood and happiness throught the month! I want to do similar.

I also want to start jogging again.
And would love to lose 20 lbs!

Sound like a few big goals. More than enough. Loosing weight is so hard. I think its more of a mind thing than anything else. You can do it!

I need to watch what I eat so I may incorporate that into the Journaling too!

I usually have a hard time sticking to resolutions, but I can always hope next year will be different lol

1. Stick to my resolutions
2. Be a little more active / make my gym membership actually worth it
3. Stop spending so much at non-local coffee shops

At least with this written down I can come back to this next year and yell at my past self if needed

I'd really like to find a job and get into the education program I'm interested, and move toward independence again. I want to make more art.

Most importantly, I just want to find a new thing to do that makes me consistently happy/passionate.

[edit] I guess these aren't really resolutions, so much as goals/hopes, as a lot of stuff falls outside my control. But I guess the resolution would be to keep trying and to not accept the status quo.

-Actually finish building my own computer
-Learn enough code for simple rl and neo QOL scripts
-Continue saving money for a house down payment once interest rates drop or I need it in an emergency, or whatever 2024 throws
-Continue working on healing with less freakouts and more calmness
