List of shells - constantly losing access

Not exactly correct in terms of numbers but as an example, let’s say I had 12 shells at the beginning of last week.. the first day one says the password is not correct, the second day another 2 are incorrect. Another week goes by and, I login to one, I am logged out before I can navigate anywhere and again, password incorrect.

Now I totally appreciate that an individual may return to play, but they look like shells that were mass created for the purpose of selling the shells once they age… what gives?! really pissing me off and I’m inclined not to buy anymore when clearly I will just lose them randomly as I access them!

Sorry just to clarify, I could login to all of them at the start - they all worked, it’s not like I’ve tried and never gained access, it’s that I could access but lost access due to the password being changed!

You bought the shells and someone is accessing them? Did you change any of the emails on them?

This sounds like you got hit by the forced pw reset.

I had a similar situation after logging into shells after they had been inactive for a while, the passwords were reset on all of them.. I lost more than a couple but not enough to really be a problem

I also managed to recover a couple of the ones that I thought were lost for good

didn’t change emails, just the password.i doubted that someone was going as far as to reset password on shells they had sold but I guess that could be true…

with each of the accounts I did access them multiple times.. let’s say 3-4 days for the first ones, a week for the others.. and then today ones I’ve been accessing for 3-4 weeks again now say incorrect password. Surely that wouldn’t be the password reset else it would’ve happened the first time?!

I’m having this issue too! Or a similar one at least. Logged into an old shell which I made a side, set up 2FA and now when I try log in it tells me the password is wrong - it’s definitely not. So annoying

Each time you logged on you usually have about 5-10 min to change the pw. If you don't, PW reset will hit and will be logging you out of the account.

So strange!

I notice on 2 of the accounts the status is stealth so I can’t monitor if they are actively being used, but on the other ones it has happened to there’s no stealth so I will watch!

I do have the emails they are attached to however it’s asking for phone number verification to access them so it seems they are lost regardless!

Don’t forget - the password needs to be changed via a reset link sent to the email. Changing it directly in the user prefs does not “count” - unless something has a changed. But a pass reset via email is required or you’ll be locked out. It’s definitely annoying!

Honestly at first I was sat there questioning.. my sanity… did I really login there yesterday.. am I just crazy.. is there a gas leak?!?! xDD

Shame they are lost but I guess now I know this I can purchase a couple more, secure suitably and also not be concerned that my brain has stopped being a reliable source of information.. for the most part anyway!
