I'm trying to piece together info about the 'Seasonal Attack Pea' distribution via the 'Advent Calendar'.

The thing is, some people theorize that there is more to the randomness than we think...

For example, very few people report receiving it throughout the day (afternoon, night), most receive it in early morning.

So... I was wondering... did ANYONE get the SAP here? If so, can you provide the date and time?
Also, if we could try to find other patterns (ie: how old the account is, how much money does it have, etc) we're accepting suggestions!

Neo stuff has rarely had anything more than random numbers in their code, most things you'll see is just speculation. On top of that you'll always suspect things that don't happen to you as being fake. Anyways, n_t did a post on it that spelled it out (again if you can trust him):

I still believe there is more to it, despite being 1/1000 maybe there is a limit of SAP per day and therefore morning players had a chance while afternoon/night players have none. Something in this line.

I love the effort, but there's no conspiracy behind it. These odds are pretty standard for Neopets when they do stuff like this. Since the odds are close to zero for getting it, then the time you redeem it doesn't matter since the coding doesn't take time into consideration.

Plus, there's a lot of randoms here who could take this information and report it to TNT. I'm not sure of they can do much with the time someone redeemed an item, but who knows.

Maybe not on purpose, but they do program a lot of things wrong.

I won't dive into it too much for obvious reasons but you actually can manipulate daily results based on timing and when you do them, since randomization relies on time in their code.

You might notice that certain times of the day will get you a higher score in Test Your Strength, a higher score when completing the Brain Tree quest, getting lotto tickets from Dice-A-Roo happens way more often during certain hours in the day, making the Grumpy King/Wise King laugh/angry, I could go on...

It's very hard to control the odds, but you're definitely on to something here.
