I have an image I'm trying to use for the background in my profile. I've tried the original url and also uploaded it to my own imgur, neither will work. I put the url in, select repeat both, submit. It changes on my profile. I save, I close the box, I see the image where I want it. I leave the page, or reload the page and the image is no longer there.

I am able to see others' profiles with both images and gifs just fine. I've tried both putting the image url into the space right next to the area I'd like it, and also opening it up and clicking image and going that route. So funky!

For what it's worth, the exact same thing is happening to me.
ETA: My picture for my signature is also not showing up despite being uploaded and showing in the preview when I uploaded it. Not sure if it's related but thought it was pertinent

@(you need an account to see links) I was able to add an image for my profile background if you make a public album and add the image to the album. When customizing, click choose image and yours should be there in the dropdown to choose it : )

Make sure you enter in the url as shown in the image below (I know part of it is obscured but I will post it below too). This I think is the common issue where it gets stuck because I remember experiencing a similar issue a while back!
This is how it’s formatted fully in the text box. Make sure you close the url with the ) at the end and it should save
