Today we discuss Secret Invasion. We are 3 episodes deep so will spoiler anything that's too far into the show thus far.
Read at your own Risk:
I'm a huge fan of this show unlike some of the other television Marvel has put out on Disney Plus. This combines both the Thriller & Spy/Espionage feel that Winter Soldier had and that Disney is trying to change up it's plate to not be hero-exhausted content.
This show follows Captain Marvel with the Skrulls trying to find peace on elsewhere in the universe and Fury offers them to take refugee on Earth. Only to find out there's been a rebel invasion of Skrulls since they landed and Fury disappeared with the Blip and being in space.
This is one of the first shows since Loki where I was on the edge of my seat wanting more at the end of each episode.
Episode 1 spoiler:
It will be interesting to see Fury develop back into himself throughout the season back into the badass he was.
The cast is very strong in this with Emilia Clarke and Ben Mendelsohn.
Any thoughts / reviews?

I'm thinking the same, I feel Nick and Talos should develop through the season to be who they were before the blip
because for now, I feel they're just being petty and whinny.
I would love to see some cameos from other marvel projects, maybe The Marvels?
Anyways, I'm loving this show, the mysteries and the cliffhangers they give us every week
I haven’t been able to get too into it so far. I have stopped 3 times during the second episode, mostly because of work stuff popping up and needing my attention. I like most of the stuff from Marvel, and I’m sure this one will wind up being good when all is said and done - but taking me a little bit to really get hyped for it. Maybe as the episodes go along it’ll pull me in a bit more!
What's my definition of success?
Creating something no one else can
Being brave enough to dream big
Grindin' when you're told to just quit
Giving more when you got nothin' left
I have yet to watch it, but I'm PRAYING that it isn't as boring as Wandavision. I fell asleep four times trying to watch it, and I just gave up. I also hate that they are incorporating the TV shows into the movies, (Dr. Strange bullshit with Wandavision).
So we shall see. I'll give this one a go and see how I like it.
Thank you Hellraid <3
Ooh I saw a preview for this when I went to the theaters the other day! Personally I really love Marvel stuff even if a lot of the small (or big, lol) details go over my head. There's just something so much more endearing/fun/animated/engaging about the Marvel cast vs other superhero franchises. I'm definitely going to try and give this a watch when I can - the last shows I watched were Wandavision and Loki so I'm glad to hear there is good noise about this!

Oooo I didn't even know this excisted. I am definitly going to give this a watch (once I actually feel like watching something, my motivation is non excistent when it comes to shows and movies right now) Looks really interesting though.
thank you Hollow for the amazing Gengar art piece
I also didn't know this existed, and I used to be hugely into Marvel so I guess it shows my interest is waning a little. I enjoyed the Secret Invasion comics though, and overall I prefer the Marvel TV shows over the movies as they can get more indepth - loved Hawkeye and Wandavision, liked Loki, couldn't get into Bucky and Falcon. I'll have to give this one a try!
