This might be answered somewhere, but is there a way to hide trade posts altogether from "what's new" and other forum groupings of the such? I assume there is not, but I'm being hopeful.

Apparently the newbie usergroup didn't have permission to hide the Neopets Trades, Services and Lending forum. You should be all set now, @(you need an account to see links).
