A year ago to the day my grandma, who practically raised me, had a major aneurysm followed by three strokes that put her in the hospital for four months. She almost died multiple times during her stay and was bedbound. Miraculously she has had no memory loss, personality changes, or cognitive damage. In the fall she was able to come home and even though she needs mobility aids now, she has improved leaps and bounds. Later today I'm going over to her house to hangout and help her with some yardwork, and I feel so incredibly lucky.

One of the volunteers where I work brought his pup in briefly, and I got to pet him! I've had some personal stuff weighing on me recently, and just having the pup lean all his weight against me, and look up with those puppy dog eyes while I pet him, was just wonderful. ♥︎
@(you need an account to see links) that story is beautiful, and I'm so glad your grandma is doing okay. I hope you had a wonderful time with her!
I've been having some really tough health struggles, at times debilitating, and am waiting months to see a specialist. My amazing husband has truly carried me since late March. Gone to the ER with me, takes care of dinner when I can't, does so much housework, and is just so supportive. I can't thank him enough. When I can only give 10%, he gives the 90.
thank you Lyrichord for the amazing avatar!

My small gratitude for today is that two out of the three robin eggs by my house have hatched, and the chicks are so cute. I love when baby birds are in their weird jelly fetus stage... it's so adorable in the fugliest way.

I've been able to catch up with multiple friends this week, and the calls were all really sweet and uplifting.
Also saw this cute pupper out on a walk today that instead of chasing the nearby bunny and overpowering it's walker, decided that the grass smelled amazing and stopped to roll in it + insist on belly rubs, every 5 feet!

As many know, I have a certain thing going on with me.
Well, in about...2-3 weeks, I will be seeing my doctor about it and will get the news on what is going on!
I know its still to early, but Im counting down the days to it as I wish to be done with all this.
The past year has had me go to hell and back, but I might finally be free.
...a few months ago I thought things will be over and that I wouldn't make it past all this.
But knowing that I might finally be better gives me such hope for the future and I wish nothing but happiness to everyone.
Had an okay day. Got through the first round of interviews for a job and got 3 other employers that reached out to me for positions. So fingers crossed I have something I like by next week
