Has anyone here used Midjourney to create AI art? Basically you have a free trial on Discord, but then you have to pay for a subscription. I'm just wondering if it is easy and worth it.

(I understand AI art is controversial, but I would technically just be using it to make what used to be "manips" and "photoshopped" images of Emilia Clarke as Daenerys Targaryen.)

I had fun with it the first few times, but after looking at a few on the discord some of the results were nightmare fuel ; A ;

I personally don't like AI anything, but mostly the art ones. Idk what it is, but AI art looks....creepy haha. Like, you can just tell it wasn't made by an actual artist, and I hate how I can pick apart parts that look a bit awkward (it's usually the hands or feet) in the art.

But that's new to me that it has a subscription function. I thought these websites were free to use? (But then again, I am pretty ignorant when it comes to AI news and updates, so I'm probably just behind haha)

Someone on Instagram makes the "art" that I want to try. I'm assuming it uses the images of Daenerys from the actual show. Sometimes, I can pick out what image/scene it was based on. I know it pulls from 1000s of images, but it doesn't look like someone drew it.

I used it once or twice before it really blew up in media on the free discord trial run thingy and my sentiments regarding AI art are very similar to Brittany's from an aesthetic viewpoint: it's always in a strangely "overpainted" style that for some reason makes it difficult to look at and overall just gives off really uncomfortable vibes especially if it's trying to render a humanoid figure. It's very hard to vocalize but the best way I can put it is creepy and off-putting, surreal in a bad way haha.
