It's Summertime!

It's finally summer time!
(at least for those of us in the northern hemisphere!)



So, I want to know...

What is your favourite thing to do in the summer? Are you a total beach bum? Lake lifer? How do you like to stay cool? Popsicles, ice cream, good old fashioned AC?
Maybe you have a favourite memory from the summer time? I wanna hear about it!

I will go first!

As a kid, we would always go to the outdoor waterslide park in June at the end of the school year. We would stay all day until we were EXHAUSTED. There was this one slide that was super scary to me, it was really fast, had big drops and was in pitch black. I remember the year I turned 12, I was FINALLY brave enough to go down it by myself. So I did, and it was a blast! Once it was time to leave, we'd get a twist (chocolate and vanilla swirled) soft serve ice cream cone.

This is just about how I feel! I'd rather be enjoying my AC (Im in Cali as well).
I hate the heat and love the cold. The thing with Cali is that, even during the Winter...we can get up to 80 (or even 90) degrees and I HAAATE it lol

I've been looking to move, but it just cost so much money and I sadly cant do that right now lol

I would kill to move further up North, northern California, Oregon, or Washington. But my partner is in love with California and has lived here his entire life. So he refuses to leave D:

Oh darn! I mean, its not BAD here, but I just dont like the weather as much as most people do.
My friend wants to move to Washington or even Alaska and was asking if I might want to join him at some point when he does.
I want to, but it comes down to money for me lol

I've wanted to move to Oregon for like a decade. It's so beautiful there and the food is incredible but most importantly summers are so mild there ugh. I would thrive! Have you taken your partner on a trip to visit? I did that a few times to convince mine we should move there lol

Wow I think i'm the opposite, Alaska just sounds very cold to me, I mean for visiting sure but for living I don't think I could.

OMG Melona bars!! Is there a worldwide shortage or something? It's been awhile since I've seen them in stock where I'm from. I hope you do get to try it sometime soon - the honeydew and mango flavours are a must!

Can confirm; Oregon is the best. I lived in Portland for a couple of years before emigrating! Definitely Bend is a great little town too if you’re not a city slicker.
