    they helped me replace 2 macbooks, 1 iphone, 1 apple display port adapter, 1 ipod touch, 1 ipod nano, and 3 ipod shuffles.

    Use the DFU mode method. It always worked for me.

    Power Button - Hold for 8 seconds
    Power + Home - Hold for 10 seconds
    Home - Release power and hold for 8 seconds.

    Does it show up on your computer when you plug it in? If so, try restore it, then restore the backup.

    I so didn't even think of this. OMG I FAIL. I have to wait because the computer that had my iTunes on it had a terrible virus and they destroyed everything so restoring that.
