It seems to me that they are like that only because people seem to be stuck in their habits of perceiving them in that way. Still, you seem content in your perspective, so perhaps now is not the time for you to consider the situation in a different way from how you're used to.
I've been trying to keep the discussion impersonal and academic, but your replies are quite silly. That's fine, of course: it's the spam forum.
But yes, I was trolling. Bro.
I know it's hard, but history doesn't have any place when considering an individual. I'm English, and I know some German people, too: it wasn't those friends who bombed our cities or gunned downed my countrymen. As Europeans, we have quite a troubled past, but you have to remember that we, those who are alive today, have nothing to do with the traumatic events that may have once occurred.
It's definitely an issue throughout a lot of places, including where I live, so don't think I'm singling you out. It's just an attitude I don't agree with, and I try and help change whenever I can.
Aren't there like Muslim neighborhoods in the UK somewhere? I remember hearing about it somewhere a while ago. It's pretty much what we have at some town as well.
Yeah, it's true, and they're often quite segregated. Luckily, living in a university town, that isn't really the case where I live: I've been inside the Mosque with friends, just to wait around while they pray. I can't see that happening in most places. It's a shame, because the religion isn't all that different from Christianity or Judaism, most of the time.
Religion is a whole other topic, not going to poke that bear. On another topic, I have 3 hours until I have to wake up, get some sleep or pull an all-nighter?
I'm going to Riga in the morning, got a concert with men's choir. Could get some sleep on the bus. Or I could just gather more emails and expand my list to over 100k..
This is such a racist topic, lol.
