    Point taken.
Never got the point of so-called "religious" holidays.

what part? how people want things to be controlled by an outside force? or how they want to feel good about dying? it's pretty simple, to me anyways, i dunno

christmas is the winter solstice holiday that christians took, and claimed was jesus' birth from the pagans, HOWEVER, if you read scripture more thoroughly, you'll notice that what they describe is actually early-mid spring time, not the dead of winter

like 90% of the christian holidays are actually old pagan holidays converted and exploited

jlk is right, most of our holidays come from pagan religions. Jesus was also black not white.

Yeah I've heard that before. I find it pretty hypocritical.
It seems more like an excuse to get drunk & party then to do anything slightly related to religion.

    Dude, sarcasm, I get it

What's there good to feel about dieing? You get to go to the afterlife? Please, you can end this "misery" called life and get done with it, not waste your time and other's. People are afraid of dieing.

If they wanted to create an "afterlife" they shouldn't have included hell.
"Okay everybody, there's some hope that you and your loved ones will have a nice life after death, but then if your relatives die you have to worry all the time about if they're being eternally tormented and if you're going to join them."
