I feel like this is a good theory worth testing - but I think @(you need an account to see links) doesn't have the Surfs Up scene and she was the first to get a ryu (other than staff)? So all of her interactions would have been only towards staff ryus (until she got her egg at least).

Ahh! Yeah, you're right! Well, at least that's one thing ruled out to help narrow it down. Back to the drawing board!
(Or wait, if that BG wasn't available at that time, then her interactions might not have counted towards it? Maybe?)

Exact. Even some of the staff were already had surfs up when I got my egg. I recently tried to interact only with the ryu that had that background but got no results. Just interacting with Mama Bear's beargotchi didn't help either... I wanted her cave bg. :c

Our staff has all of the scenes unlocked. For testing purposes, of course!

to further this theory, I got my bar after GreyFaerie, and neither of us have it. This makes me believe still that they weren't released at the time, as Bat confirmed that the admods have the bars for testing..

Nope, I still don't have the Surfs Up scene. I've been cleaning up after mine to mine and tending to others as I see them in need, nothing at all. Now working on interacting with specifically friends Ryu's to see if it makes any difference.

well i do that often as well on the "what's new" and don't have the surf's up so guess that's not it (or i'm not doing it enough of course :o)

Could be the case, we just don't know yet. it's related to a particular action as per Bat's post a while back though.

I woke up to both of them in the morning (Europe time). I think I got them right upon release..

Obtained them as they were released, so didn't obtain multiple at once

None were available at the time

If I notice - yes

Maybe 5-6 users a day, sometimes more. Usually clean, feed and play per interaction

From twice a day to every other day (roughly)
