RETIRED USERBARS

The advertiser userbar wasn't exclusively given away for that event, but that was a scenario where it was offered. We're not settled on whether or not we'll offer it again, so I couldn't decide where to fit it into my write-up.

That's a bit tricky. The vast majority of our currently unobtainable userbars pertain to events that were outside of our staff's control. Just so you know ... I had to do a lot of legwork for this list:

• The Altador Cup userbars pertain to past events on Neopets, and were rewarded for participating on clraik's team of choice that year. The Altador Cup All-Star userbar will be awarded annually, so that's still obtainable.
  
  
• The (you need an account to see links) was run by a user that is no longer active. That userbar isn't retired, but it wasn't used for future events.
  
  
• The (you need an account to see links) was run by @(you need an account to see links), so she could bring that userbar back as many times as she wants.
  
  
• Although the (you need an account to see links) went on a long hiatus, it was run by @(you need an account to see links) this year. Those userbars could come back if anybody is willing to run it again.
  
  
• The (you need an account to see links) is an annual event that is run by @(you need an account to see links).
  
  
• The (you need an account to see links) is an annual event that is run by @(you need an account to see links).
  
  
• The (you need an account to see links) is run by @(you need an account to see links) when she's not too busy being a mom, a bear, and a spectacular moderator in that order.
  
  
• The (you need an account to see links) was run by @(you need an account to see links). She could bring that contest back any time that she wants to, but she's playing hard to get.
  
  
• The (you need an account to see links) is also run by @(you need an account to see links), when she wills it so.
  
  
• The (you need an account to see links) event was run by @(you need an account to see links), but I think she has disowned us. She never shows up to staff chat any more, and we miss her.
  
  
• The (you need an account to see links) event was run by @(you need an account to see links) and @(you need an account to see links). They've been known to run it at random when it pleases the Capitol.
  
  
• The (you need an account to see links) is given out to exemplary users. It's not retired. I'll leave it at that for now.
  
  
• The (you need an account to see links) competition hasn't run since 2013. Those userbars could also come back if anybody is willing to run it again.
  
  
• All of our Pok�mon userbars, aside from the ones earned as posting incentives, are still obtainable. We offer a variety of them during events hosted by our staff.

The battledomer userbars were retired because the event was a bit too risky, and the 1,000,000 posts userbar was only available between 1,000,000 and 1,002,500 posts - approximately one week.

On the way to work this morning I was thinking about compiling a list of userbars available - and I also thought of an idea as to how retired userbars can be awarded.

I am thinking of hosting an annual event (with a staff's approval, of course) where we bring back certain elements of past events as well as their respective userbars. I won't touch the events that are hosted by a respective person who does it every year since it's recurring, but preferably those that were done once.

So for example:

Event Title: [EVENT] Turning Back Time

4 Categories:
1. 2016 Art Challenge
2. Signature of the Month
3. cK Battledomers (maybe with a different concept)
4. Halloween 2017 (Vegeta userbar) - probably come up with a contest concept also since halloween is coming

Process:
You have 2 weeks to take part in any of the 4 competitions. You can even take part in all 4 of them if you like/have the time for. At the end of the event, 10 winners will be chosen through judges (part staff, part topic experts from the community) or through a community voting.

Reasons:
- 10 winners will continue to make the userbar unique and "rare", thus incentivizing taking part in the event again when it's held again.
- Having different sub categories can allow a wider variety of people to express themselves in different ways. Eg. if I'm not good in art but I have a good knowledge of BD equips I can be more confident in winning the other event.

Prizes:
- The prizes for 10 winners (per category) would of course be the spanking new (old) userbar.
- I could sponsor some Amazon Gift Cards or similar to the top winner of each category.
- I can also sponsor cK VIP as prize
- We could give more prizes if more people sponsor. (Pls pm me if you're interested in sponsoring)
- I am also thinking of having MORE userbar slots as prizes? Could that be a thing?

Now we have a max of 5 userbar slots (including rank), and those with positions get 6, and staff 7, with VIP, 8. Prizes could let people add 1 for cK Prize so they can get extra slots to show more userbars

Either that... OR if it's too complicated I could just try and host each event every 1-2 months just to give everyone a chance at the old userbars. xD

Which would be better? Please give me your opinions and whether it's good to go and I'll draft up some proposal.
