we do here near des moines iowa, it's a radio station called channel q, alternative, rock, etc that kinda music, and it has an online radio feature as well, 1051channelq.com
click on listen live at the top and when i'm online, you'll be listening to what i listen to at the same time, lol

i like the radio cause it opens me up to some songs i have either forgotten about, or haven't heard yet, broadens my horizons you could say

iHeartRadio is pretty good but its annoying sometimes cuz you can't skip that many songs.
Last.fm is my fav though

I usually listen to the radio feature of spotify. If you fill in a song you like, it finds songs that are similar to that song.
I've found a lot of new bands/singers because of it. :-)
try Pandora, you customize it to for what you like. Very smart internet radio. It reads your mind almost.

lol i like sticking to my local stations iheart radio thing, got nikki sixx, tony tarbox, benny black and a few other djs who i happen to find very funny

I listen to shoutcast every day. But you can only listen to it if you have the winamp player, I think
